Due to the chemical spill on I-287 last week there was a justified concern about the purity of the Riverdale water supply. The results are in and we are pleased to report that the water supply was not affected in any way by the spill.

Kyle and Ian Parrill made Eagle Scout during a ceremony held at the Riverdale Community Center on July 15, 2008. Pictured are Assistant Scoutmaster Pat Parrill, their father, Ian, Scoutmaster Steve Loesner, Kyle, and their mother, Pam. Congratulations to all, you make Riverdale proud!

Riverdale Police Sergeant Chris Biro and his wife, Gina, had the pleasure of welcoming into this world their newborn twins, Christopher and Oliva. We wish their beautiful family all the best and may God bless them!
Fifty-Two(52) year charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary Grace Peine passed away August 24th 2008 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband, John Peine Sr. Past Chief of the Riverdale Fire Department. Her son John Jr. is the Captain of Ladder 31, as well as a captain in the Riverdale Police Department. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
